HCATS is a summer swim team that is part of the Mountain Swim League. The season runs from May 27 to July 26 and practice is at Patton Pool. We are a non-profit, parent run organization. Children ages 6 to 18 are welcome. Many of the Henderson county kids that went to the NCHSAA State Swim meets have swam with HCATS, including all of the West Henderson Boys team that won the State Meet. Some of our previous swimmers have gone on to compete in colleges also. We think this is a great introduction into competitive swimming and wonderful for all kids. Kids are able to learn the correct stroke techniques for swimming, build self-confidence, build friendships, and have fun competing with other area teams. Several HCAT swimmers graduate and come back to coach for us. We all have a great time, kids and parents alike.
